Kali Forbes blends traditional and contemporary techniques to create abstract, sculptural jewellery inspired by the contrast between natural and made objects. 

 

Kali’s practice is considered with a focus on ethical and sustainable craftsmanship. She designs longevity into each piece of jewellery she creates, and carefully sources the precious materials she works with. KALI FORBES

Kali holds a MA degree in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery awarded by the Royal College of Art and a BA degree in Jewellery Design awarded by Middlesex University


Kali’s career, spanning more than 10 years, has afforded her opportunities working for well established artisans such as the veteran metalsmith Clive Burr, internationally celebrated fashion jeweller Florian Ladstaetter and the award winning lapidary artist Ben Gaskell. Amassing a wealth of handskills and material knowledge, Kali founded her business working to bespoke commission in 2020. In 2021 she launched her debut demi-fine collection as part of the Goldsmith’s Centre’s Shine talent showcase.
